Waltham Police said Main Street was closed from Hill Road to Market Place Drive after a "major" crash around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6.
The crash happened during a funeral escort at around 10:35 a.m., NECN reports citing Waltham Police. The officers who were injured were taken to a local hospital and are expected to recover, the outlet said.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes and delays were expected as a result. The crash in under investigation.
